How to Enable and Disable ClearType

ClearType was first introduced in Windows XP and it is used to smooth out screen fonts to make them more readable on LCD Monitors and to be honest,

it makes screen fonts look so much better.
In Windows XP ClearType was turned off by default, but in Windows Vista it is enabled by default.

So here's how to turn ClearType On or Off.

Click Start and open the Control Panel.
Under the Appearance and Personalisation heading, click "Customize Colors".
Click the hyperlink to “Open classic appearance properties for more color options”.
Click the Effects button, choose ClearType from the dropdown menu, then untick/tick the box to disable/enable ClearType.

Click OK twice and its done.
